You should try reading the threads about SCMDraft crashing in the SC1 Mapping Tools forum instead of General Starcraft.

And give us more information.

Just here for the pie

I would suggest just re installing SCMDraft's latest version.

Other than that I think there was some problem with the space tileset and locations, but I can't find anything on it.

The first location should be Location 0; this is not the reason it's crashing on you.

Here's some common things to do:

1) Check your backup database in your SCMDraft directory. If it's large, delete it or rename it.
2) Get a new install for SCMDraft. The latest can be found here, and the stable 0.8.0 and older versions can be found here.
3) Try this on other maps, including existing and new, .scm and .scx. If this only happens under certain conditions (i.e., only on the space tileset), let us know so we can further help you.

Let us know when you've tried all the suggestions and which, if any, helped.

If this was a problem, it's been fixed in the latest version.

I used to have a problem where it would crash whenever it tried to display a string, and placing a location would make it draw a string and therefore crash. I had some posts about it in the mapmaking tools threads. I think I eventually fixed it, or it just went away.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
