So, I just got Axis and Allies. I played it today, and enjoyed it. However, it takes forever to finish (we played for 6-7 hours and the game still wasn't over). Do you know of a way to speed up the game? Or any other comments (strategy, etc.)? I have the spring 1942 edition.

I read of a variant where you ignore the regular setup and choose a "capital" like Secret Capital Risk and play much like that.
