Cliffs not displaying properly

I can't figure out why the cliffs I create in the editor have ramps going up everywhere (they're not actually ramps but slopes, just not as defined)
I have attached a picture displaying the problem and hopefully someone knows what I am facing.

Oh_Man -- and i went on to win the tournament, and a pair of steelseries headphones. i even reember how i won the final match - hallucinated a fck-tonne of units and my opponent thought i had way more than he did and GGed
