Still Napping

It's what Devlin would do.

The seemingly obvious thing was the fact that "no clues will ever point to the Infiltrator," and the clues were research documents. That being the case, as soon as the Infiltrator or Zombies were the only enemies remaining, Researchers would no longer be able to uncover documents. This would inform the Survivors that they had successfully eliminated all the non-Infiltrator USS.
What? That was it? I figured that was the case, but you made it sound like something devious and hidden so I didn't think this was the attribute you were talking about :|

Well, I did say "seemingly obvious," it just didn't seem like anyone picked up on it ^^ I never saw anything said that even inferred that was the case, in fact quite the opposite, with remarks about killing off the Researchers as though they served no late game purpose. You also asked me at some point if it would be mentioned in the night post if the Infiltrator awoke due to all other USS dying, which suggested to me at the time that you hadn't yet thought of this Researcher utility :P

Edit: As a side note, if anyone solves any of the research documents, I will update that post with your name and the solution.

Azrael, I got raged at SO HARD because of that damned beguiler role! You're more devious than the beguiler himself for what you did there.

Next time just say "It's OP" in the description.

:awesome:

Just kidding, anyway

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
