As for my interpretations (yellow indicates names):
"It's not even six o'clock yet, but the light stretches onto the peaceful town of Kaeben [posted 1 hour ago, roughly 10 PM Eastern]" This line refers to a specific time, which corresponds to GMT+12, or New Zealand time (and eastern Russia, but afaik nobody from Russia is in). Jack is known to be from New Zealand.

"It all started four weeks from today." Sounds like it starts in the future, but that may just be an error in reading on my part. "The mayor was a despicable individual: greedy and heartless. Naturally, nobody enjoyed his position of power, and when elections rolled around, not one of them gave the mayor a single vote." Not sure if this points towards anyone, or if it's just simply narrative element, but is there anyone who is particularly greedy, heartless (other than me, of course)? Bonus points if they received no votes in last mafia's election.

The rest, I either can't read anything into or it sounds stupid even to me.

Also - to do with the 'potential roles'. Roy are you going to omit the ones that havn't been assigned? Or leave them all on the OP, so that there are potentially more roles than players?

I would rather he leave them all there, although it seems that's what he's doing anyways.

If you noticed, I changed the number of dropped roles to the accurate number, but I didn't touch the potential role list.

I recommend you to go back and review the previous game if you have questions about the setup and how it all plays out.

I don't agree with it because the detective's investigation can be countered by the Lawyer, Framer, or the Godfather. Hell, even the Witch can get in on the fun. Either way, since this was broadcasted to every mafia player, both following Zany's orders guarantees that the mafia either will know both the detective and the tracker, or will be able to make Zany look guilty. There's too much play either way, and we have to take into consideration that the Traitor(s) has/have already been in contact with the Mafia. Zany may simply be a Traitor, rather than an actual power role, attempting to garner information for the Mafia.

Edit: Or he may be a townie.

Edit2: Regardless, as this is the beginning and we have no way of knowing what mafia roles are available, following such obvious orders is completely and utterly retarded. Long story short, Zany, at this point, trying to take control by these methods is retarded at best, and at worst is an act of willing treason against the town.

EDIT3: Also, just curious, why inferno as the target of the tracker? You want as much information on as many people as possible, Azrael?
