Where am I on that list...?

Well it seems the beginning of my list consists of people who went already, making me the next one in line.

I'm assuming that the rest of poison's list is accurate, except that Demon is before him.

I'm not sure how Olimar got another spot so soon after his previous one when you haven't gone yet I would think you'd be before him.

Also, I call dibs on the next spot on the current list, for the lulz. I'm sure it'll be in 2013 at this rate.

I wouldn't think so, now that I see yours. Though Demon could've gone as #11, and re-wrote everything after so he started as #4 on mine, but that seems completely stupid and I don't think that would've actually been ok with SEN.

Olimar got it because he made the list during one of the mafia games, his IIRC, and so he gave himself host position a couple more times than anyone else.

Regardless, I'm all for scrapping the list and making a new one. It's been butchered to hell and back, and at least half of the members on either list are currently inactive or aren't interested. Mostly because I want to see Rai's mafia because it'll be full of and stupid shit.

The new list could be:

#1 - Raitaki
#2 - poison_us
#2 - Devlin
#3 - Azrael

The only semi-active person I took off the list that has a legitimate claim to their slot is LoTu)S. I'm under the impression he doesn't feel like hosting though. He is free to deny this, in which case he would get the #1 slot (or whichever slot he wants).

So, let me get this straight - are we running two Mafia games simultaneously or is Roy's taking Inferno's spot?

Unless this suddenly gets more sign-ups, Roy's Mafia will start and this one will be on hold.

Even if both ran simultaneously, I don't see the problem. Mafia takes like five minutes every three days to be active in.

Old SEN rule. Only one game of mafia may be held at a time.

Sounds like a rule designed to stop dozens of games from going on simultaneously, which would then become an issue. Having two games running at the same time certainly wouldn't be a problem. The rule should be updated to account for this since the popularity of these games fluctuates, or simply ignored as I doubt the staff really cares as long as we're not causing problems.

A simple safeguard that would allow us to have more games running when there is reasonable interest in it, would be that the current Mafia host has to accept the new Mafia host. I doubt that Roy or Inferno has a problem with the other running a game.

An additional safeguard would be that a member of the staff also needs to accept a second host (in which case Roy would already qualify).

I think for the most part it should be left to our own discretion, with a simple modification (as demonstrated above) it still isn't possible for us to have an unreasonable number of games, and still gives the current host the respect of not having another game running simultaneously if they don't want there to be one.

I think the rule of thumb of only 1 active Mafia game at a time was to prevent confusion, assuming someone participating in both got mixed up. We have had Mafia and "Speed Mafia" games run at the same time, though, and that was fine. I think this'll be okay if both do take place.
