http://www.pathofexile.com/ This game looks pretty sweet, quite a bit like diablo but with a sort of mmo aspect to it. best part is it'll be free to play. Sign up for beta now gogogogo! I actually met one of the guys developing this because of MtG ;0 he put me onto it and the graphics look sweet. Apparently the storyline is pretty good too so should be fun.

Red classic.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
Hell, the more I see from the game the more I can spot that it heavily burrowed diablo elements. ;D Things that I might miss in D3... I like their art, their environment look. The spell effects seem to be cool...
Like I said on their forums. Diablo 2 was a heavily successful game, very unique to other RPGs because all others MUST go with a 3d approach, when diablos top down hack and slash is rare. And because of this, why change it, when it works great for the people that like its style

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.
Oh yeah, I should mention the lead dev, chris, has told me I'm guaranteed a position in close beta now I just need to get an awesome computer to run it on top settings.

Tell him that I'ma pro beta tester and 3D Gfx specialist looking for work. I'm on the testing team for Terraria also. Get me on the betar.
Do you honestly need work? Cuz http://www.grindinggear.com/?page=careers But I don't know if you can animate well. However, I know they're planning on expanding their staff after release so they can add more content, they will need more artists then. I'm considering applying at that stage if my skills are good enough.

Well I'm getting an internship at rockstar north but it's likely to be unpaid, kettle-boiling duties. Wouldn't mind jumping onto an indie bandwagon and creating assets, since it's pretty much what I do. Put in a word for me for beta testing / development consultation though. I'm pro at that.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
