Really really silly time to make this change, fuck that.

TSL finals AND GSL finals are this weekend, one PvT and one PvZ.
You know what I hate? That I'm surprised by this.

Can we give someone like faz some sort of mod status for posting news about the SC2 (and possibly sc1) pro scene? It doesn't have to perfect or as good as other sites like TL whose main focus is that, I'd just like SOMETHING to keep me int he loop about these things. I just really like staredit.net being my only one-stop all things Star Craft site.

I have no time to do that, though I'm fine with FaZ just posting in the news section about updates to the E-Sports SC2 scene. He doesn't need a title or a staff position to do that.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Get BlizzTV if you want to be informed about events/streams/bluePosts.
I knew about the TSL finals, but not about GSL. :S
gsl final is early in the morning for me on sunday >_<

Tada. Though it doesn't have the GSL finals for some reason it's a pretty good resource.

No one here knows much about SC2 melee except Cecil so it's worthless to have the discussion.

SEN's news page is a joke :P

SC2Mapster posts everything in more detail long before SEN does. I mean, the PTR changes and then the 1.3.3 changes are identical yet they have two separate posts. Not a single mention of HotS content being available at Blizzcon in 5 months. No mention of Diablo III beta keys being released in 2 months, with the devs not ruling out a 2011 release. And yeah, as rightly pointed out, not a single mention of any 'pro-scene' news (players, tournaments, replays, interviews etc)...

As far as I'm concerned, SEN home/site/default page should just be set to Null.

Someone is in a rather dickish mood. Maybe SEN is just more conservative about what is posted in the News section. Maybe we only post what we actually care about there.

Still Napping

We're eccentric pirates; we do what we want =P

While some of us follow the pro scene, we're primarily a mapping site. We don't really care about any of that as a community unless it contributes to mapping. If you want your pro updates go to team liquid or something.

Precisely. What I was getting at was, why bother including 'minor pro-scene' news on the main page when firstly, the majority of SEN don't really give a toss, and secondly, the 'news' is not already available, but also in more detail at a number of other sites.

So go to SC2mapster and stop coming to SEN.

For all of you complaining about anything: if you see a problem fix it. It would be nice if SEN had a rule where you cannot complain unless you do everything in your power to fix the issue you are complaining about first.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
