Hell, just use *.png everywhere you possibly can. ;P

And ya, it's 192, not 196. 96 = multiple of 12, and 192 = 2·96. I deal a lot with powers of 2 and multiples thereof in my hand-made gradients in MSPaint. xP

Personally, I'm a fan of Starforge, for a few reasons, but that's a topic for elsewhere.

And for crashing, if you're talking about moving weapon sprites, such as missiles or phase disruptors, they happen to be fairly picking about having a target and sticking to it ( a single turncwise opcode in their animation causes them to crash... )

I solved the crashing a long time ago dude....

Hey blacklight.. im planning on making an rpg... would you like to terrain it? you would need to terrain a 192x192 area, plus caves and stuff xD. If your willing to, pm on east or on SEN.

Nah, thx for the offer though. Besides, I'm not that good. Ask one of the better people.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
