32. Most Popular Third Party Editor - StarForge(3), SCMDraft(3), SCXE(4)

:O

Well it WAS the least buggy editor of all three for the longest time. Not like its more useful but I preferred it for the longest time myself.

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

Woah

I think my favorite is:
15. Most Innovative Map - Hyper Triggers(?), Trigger Happy D, SC Chess by GoldenUrg, SC Checkers by Doom_Dragoon, Snow Bound(2) by KckKryptonite, Kyprion Pact, Hunters Whit Mucho Money$$$$$$

...followed by:
35. Worst UMS Map - 9999 units, Can you do X tricks?, Mind Control Defense, 1st Madness Map, 1st Bounds Map (anyone know which either one is?)

If I remember correctly, Snow Bound was the first "Bound" map, or at least KckKryptonite made the first one.

/sigh

I've only ever heard of (U)Bolthead and Tuxedo Templar...

None.

I see Panzer_Kavalier and Doom_Dragoon in that list. All the great mappers in that post have since ceased being teenagers and now have busy lives.

The fresh ideas are coming from the present set of teens fiddling with SC2.

i guess the simplicity of scmdraft made it accessible to make good maps.

It was either Snow Bound or Ice Bound, but I don't remember which came first. I remember playing them a lot, though. >.>

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
