I skipped astrophsyics and decided to go for recyclers instead so everything I have I built not found. So that means my fleets is multiplied times 2 in power just because.

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

14 small fighters, 1 espionage probe, 7 small cargos, 2 rocket launchers. 2 satellites

Up to Battlecruisers, no idea how many. So yeah, it makes sense he has no D. Have your way with him, I'll join in about half an hour after he raids an empty planet.

This is why I don't build ships until I have lots of planets and mines :P...

I'm at 2 planets now, with 10 Small Cargoes (which I'm going to double soon), and 7 Espionage Probes.
My Homeworld has Levels 18, 14, 6, 17 - for metal, crystal, deut and solar.
My Colony is at 17, 11, 5, 16 (m, c, d and s) so far.

Just realised I have been over-producing metal. Whenever my Metal Storage became full I would just build a few Rocket launchers and it's added up and I'm currently on 90 Rocket Launchers :D

If someone has a big defence, he is no threat to you. You just can't steal his shit.

It's worse if someone has 20,000,000 points, and not one defensive structure. Because that means his fleet is fuck-off huge scary, and will destroy you and that he keeps it hidden.

Of course just as my Astrophysics is about to finish, the one available space in my system for a new planet is taken up by a new player. Awesome.

I guess I can save up to level it once more and take a #3 spot in my system instead, though I'd rather not waste more resources on it. Eh. :/

If you havn't created your first colony yet - and are in that predicament (of no decent slots nearby). Upgrade your astrophysics 2 more levels, and get another colony ship and send them both out at the same time. So that when you get the Commander reward for 3 days you can pimp out your new colonies super fast. And this way, even if one of them has a piss-poor amount of fields (small planet), it can still quickly pay for itself if you level up the mines and keep it for a week before scrapping it ant attempting a recolonisation.

But, if you've already expanded... Then it's generally a bad thing to keep a colony ship sitting around. They use a lot of deuterium - making extended fleetsaves costly - and there's nothing an attacking player likes more than destroying a colony ship.

You might want to devote a lot of time to scouting a new location :)...

Especially if you like raiding inactives. Usually Galaxies 1, 2 and 3 are populated with a lot of active players homeworlds. 4 to 7 also have a few homeworlds but are mostly colonies. 8 and 9 are usually deserted - so you might find some nice colony planets with high mine levels but no defences.

It's a good strategy to have a planet somewhere in each Galaxy. Or to have a cluster of your planets over a few solar systems, and then have an empty planet slot so you can set up a forward base next to a decent target, milk him for all he's worth - and then just scrap that colony once people start scanning it and the decent targets have been milked.

We came across the remains of a previous expedition! Our technicians will try to get some of the ships to work again.

The following ships are now part of the fleet:
Large Cargo 5
Heavy Fighter 2
Espionage Probe 32


...32 probes??? WTF??? I got screwed -.-

I'll definitely look into that. I've basically been using my first colony as a mule for now, pumping out small cargo ships and quickly sending them next door to my original planet.

My second planet (which I founded yesterday) is almost complete :)

I basically make it identical to my homeworld and then repeat the process until I have a lot of planets all giving me resources!

So he creates a new account and suddenly kicks on Vacation mode? I call bullshit. That should be against the rules; you need at least 5-6 days before you have a legit excuse as far as having enough points to warrant needing to use it.
