I've made 1000000000's of FOrb sorcs before, and Blizzard sorc is probably better for an MFing character, which this character is likely to be.

Actualy, I'm a fan of Hydrasorcs now. My Hydrasorc, fitted with my 105fcr/mf/Orber gear was able to drop Mephisto in a few seconds, about twice as long without an Infinity on merc.

Although, Oath and Bone would probably make a nice combo. Oath is fast ( very important ) , fairly high damaging ( very important ) , and has a 30% chance to cast level 20 Bone Spirit on strike ( 1k damage with level 20 Bone Wall/Prison synergies ) . Bone runeword armor would have a 15% chance ( appr. 1/6 ) of casting a 760 damage absorbing bone armor when struck, along with 30% all resistance. Toss in every curse, and you have the makings of...
Enough offense ( for a screwball build, atleast - amp damage + merc + 1k bone spirits + oath = relatively painfuls ) , crowd control ( like no other, I mean, Bone Prisons/Walls for enemy manipulation, Confuse/Attract for distractions, and Dim Vision for complete compromisization of threats? ) , and your own source of life ( life tap ) , slow ( decrep ) , immunity breaking ( lower res ) , and more slow ( Clay Golem ) . The armor would render you pretty damned tough against physical damage, and element damage can be mostly negated by res/'sorb/Dim Vision.

Considering how long ago I thought of it, I'm surprised I've never heard of this build at places, like, say, the Amazon Basin.

My highest character was a nubish level 80 or so sorceress. I got some pretty nice stuff, 2 SOJ's, an Occy... not great. Also had Necromancers and an Amazon (Guided shot + Buriza = own). Bone neccy. Bone Spirit + Bone Spear = dead enemies in PvP.

I've lost my D2 CD, which sucks really badly. I've had a craving to play D2 for the past couple of weeks now. My highest level was like a level 75 or Pally, but he sucked really badly. I wasted like 28 skill points or something on holy shock and bonuses for it, when I decided I wanted to be a BH pally. When I find my CD I'm gonna make a Zeal+Holy Shock pally. Yes, I do like Pallys very much. If anybody who plays ladder on West wants to give me some godlies that'd be cool. =P

Holy Shockers are made of win. If you ever need any items or such, my account's on West Ladder. Don't have anything too great I could offer, since I'm using gear for my own characters ( Crescent Moon Phase Blade with a nearly perfect Azurewrath on switch for immunities on a Shocker... delicious ) , but I can do free rushes, atleast. =P Not really on B.Net much anymore, though, so you'd have to contact me by IM or PM.

Psh, no, you just can't rush very quickly. =P Certainly not fast enough to justify paying a Hell Forge for it, though, unless rushee is very desperate and/or a friend. I wouldn't accept an NM rush either, actually, unless you're wearing Apprentice rings and/or amulet. <105fcr non-M/LLD Sorcs is unacceptable!
Anyways, some people like to amass perfect gems and trade them off for gear, in which case a Normal forge'd be nearly as valuable to him as any other, and in Normal, you could probably get by with an Inferno Sorc. =P
