I have watched others have online crushes on each other. I know how funny it is to see them together. I also know how annoying it is to have one say that the other is immature (ON THE INTERNETZ), and then get sucked into a discussion of their mixed feelings. Online crushes are not for me; thanks.

I honestly can't remember where I met this person. Probably something ridiculous like a chatroom - in fact I think it was. I did introduce her to that student website though (TSR).

Actually I've had a few "crushes" on that website - some decent girls there and they're reasonably local so it doesn't seem pointless having a crush.

Ah I see what you're implying here, but no. It's been the gf of a gamer friend, and I've even seen pictures of her (doesn't look too bad, but not my type), briefly talked at the phone with her and they are now engaged, so I can assure you it's not been a scam.

The only annoying thing about it was she wanted to do it again and again. IMO it's only fun if it emerges spontaneously from a conversation, otherwise it's too artificial to get into the mood. (This is obviously wrong if she were (to be) my gf.)

Once I was being hit on a guy in WoW because my character was a chick, so I baited him into joining a party with me and one of my girl gamer friends for a 'threesome' he was all into it. Then we invited his guild master in, and he masterfully hit enter pretty much right after the guild master joined. I think my friend told the guild master she wanted an enchant or something to trick him into joining. The guildmaster almost instantly left the chat, and when I ran past the guy I was messing with he was no longer in the guild. He put me on his ignore list.

This guy at some point was helping me with a quest, and he somehow got into the conversation about his ex or something...and yes I baited him on. I had a real life friend there with me who had a boyfriend on the same realm, so the three of us were making fun of this guy. Anyways, this guy somehow starts talking about how he used to be into pain and stuff, and that he had like an old high heel of his gf's that he hits himself with, and rubber bands. So I told him okay, put the rubber bands around your balls (I honestly thought he was trolling me). So he said he did. My friend and I signed off to go to class, and we signed on later that night to do some pvp. The guy was online, and the first thing he says to me OH PLEASE LET ME REMOVE THE RUBBER BANDS. So to this day I'm not sure if this was a troll trolling trolls situation or not. Regardless it was pretty lulz worthy.

I tricked my ex's rl friend into having an intimate online relationship with me, too, just to my ex jealous because I knew he would squeal. Cryptic facebook messages led me to believe he had, so I thought I'd have to break it off eventually. Oh, he also helped me fund my twink that I pvped with (lol). I did come clean eventually, though. The guy didn't even act hurt, just surprised. But its alright it looks like he's dating a model now or something.

Sometimes I troll omegle too. My favorite is screaming all of a sudden "holy shit my bf just shut his dick in the waffle iron!!" Or, when we're first getting started I make sure they're slightly homophobic, and then out of no where I ask if its okay if my bf watches us. Freaks them out and they leave. Another good one is "sorry i gtg my nephew is trying to light the router on fire." but I used that one to get out of sucky PUGs in WoW too. My favorite was when I ran into another girl on Omegle. I asked what she was doing and she responded "probably the same thing you are." We traded tips.

Oh, there's other instances too, but I'm pretty sure one of them e-stalks my forum activity. Dude seriously. Just because they're a chick doesn't mean their serious. Don't trust anyone you meet online. _especiallyme That's why I consider online crushes to be different than cyber buddies.

And don't get me wrong. There are a lot of guys I care for on a platonic level that I'd never screw with like that. :love:

I never have, but my brother used to on battle.net. There was this girl he'd play with every day, and she even adopted a complementary screen name to his.
I don't know what happened .. apparently she started getting all obsessive and weird or something.
