Planning Map-Night(s) on the EU server

Hello

So, these mapnights over there in the US look pretty interesting and fun, so instead of crying that you cannot participate (just like I did :( ), I'd like to create our own mapnight on the EU, so before we plan any further:
Who's on the EU and interested into participating into mapnight?

Maybe we should look into organising an EU map night too? I'm not too sure about the availability or interest in it though.

I'm here. Cardinal.903 - feel free to add me.

Shall we create two official thread: one for each server?

Update the OP with peoples Battle.net name and IDs? So, far it'd look like this

Quote from name:Europe ID's
  • Devourer.390 - German
  • Cardinal.903 - British

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Doesn't really look like it. You are three listed in there as well. :P
You guys should buy another SC2 and get on NA server :awesome:

Only for battle.net?
No sorry. I won't pay with my money for that.

I'm not really playing any SC2, but I'll try to show up if you get some Map-Nights going :)

:payne:

4 players is a good number: most of the maps are designed for 4 players.

Then its just a question of making sure all 4 of us are online I guess...

but no really, I am quite disapointed... I had really thought there would be more EU people on SEN... Oh well!

Best thing to do would probably be to set a time for it. As I said, I don't really ever play SC2, so you're unlikely to see me online there unless we have a set time for it.

So, I say we could do a mapnight on EU tomorrow evening (saturday).

I can show you my D1 map because today I've implemented the support for 4 players and created a complete shop.
But there isn't much gameplay inside, yet. But I could get some feedback. :)

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
