I'm not sure about the horrible primary system thing though, because as you and I both know, there are other reasons such as a lack of education and lack of caring (which I think is primarily due to the fact that voting is optional). If they are so politically ignorant and apathetic, then how would they be able to tell that our primary system is horrible?

:P

Being the uber conservative/constitutionalist/liberterian that I am, I'd vote Thompson. I like Ron Paul's policies, except his foreign policy.

On the topic of health care, the insane costs are because there is insurance. Nobody, absolutely nobody, tries to save moeny because their insurance pays for it. Since a $100 drug will sell as much as a $5 generic, corporations have no incentive to try and lower costs. Because this all comes out of the insurance companies pocket, they have to charge the healthy people more. Add in the obesity problems of America, and you're only going to increase the rate at which insurance costs increase. To prove this point, look at surgeries that aren't covered by insurance, like laser eye surgery and cosmetic surgeries. They've actually gone down in price. That is, in a nutshell, the healthcare problem of America.

Well that's true, but it certainly makes the system disillusioning for more aware voters as well. The media and the primaries, I could argue, cause much trouble for the U.S. in the realm of elections (And more, when you think about it).

Trust me, I won't pretend to know I have great intelligence on this issue. Where did you learn about this? Either way it sounds to me that socialized health care will cure the illness. Pardon my pun ;P

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

NudeRaider -- Symmetry
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
