Plus there are these two threads that tell you how to find and fix those that don't work, if you feel like not being lazy, you could also try to get a group of people together to fix them all.

I'm actually thinking of giving up on StarCraft modding completely. I've already done a lot of the things I've wanted to, and the SC engine is old and outdated. It has some merits, such as stacking retarded weapon effects on single units, but, yea, I've already done a lot of the things I wanted to do with SC modding.

Yea, I am feeling pretty lazy now. I think I'm just going to move into SC2, rather than stick with SC1. Maybe. I might try to find offsets and shit.

Okey doke, another difficulty I'm having: switching the builders to be medics rather than SCVs. I've made it so the CC builds medics, too. I've given the medics the appropriate buttons (basic and advanced buildings). But when I click one of them in-game, all of the options are gray. The requirements are only shown for the ones that I wouldn't be able to build anyways, but the ones I should be able to build can't be selected as an option. I went into the dat edits and changed the build orders to medics, too. Is there an exe edit I'm missing? I looked but didn't find one that seemed applicable. Maybe I just missed it.
Hehehe, never mind, I figgered it out. And now I feel like an idiot ^_^

Hehe, ok, I'll get up a WIP version ASAP. Can't right now, but will in probably an hour. Or two. Or three. Just kidding. Probably two.
EDIT: Oh, and I plan on finishing it. Nothing can stop me now. Except procrastination. In which case, I'll still finish it, just not as soon as I'd like. But seriously, at the rate I'm going I'll be finished afore all THAT much longer.

Ok, maybe I should've just called the topic Questions Period. 'cause now I'm having some issues with the siege tank. It can't be built. Everytime I try do, it crashes, as soon as I even click the icon to do so. I've gone over the dats and iscripts a million times, and found nothing wrong. Then I looked under the exe edits in Firegraft, for the Siege tech and all. Does any of that have to be changed if I made the tank a flying unit and got rid of the siege ability? 'cause I have no idea which ones, if so.

The Siege Tank and Siege Tank (Siege Mode) units and their turrets are incredibly hard-coded. I personally avoid the Siege Tank and Edmund Duke Tank units like the Plague. Trying to do anything that goes even slightly beyond the original Siege Tank has the trend of leading to disaster and failure. IMHO, never use the Siege Tank, its turret, and its Siege mode unless you're making very minuscule, elementary changes without touching the transformation animation and separating the turret from the tank data-wise.

Seriously, you're better off copying over all of your changes from the Siege Tank on to a normal unit ID, because trying to toy with the Siege Tank and Siege mode is probably much like trying to disarm a bomb with a flamethrower; it just won't work, and will probably end up in a catastrophic explosion. Personally, I avoid the Siege Tank like the plague unless I simply want a quick base for a turret unit. Even then, I'm highly reluctant to mod the Tank, because it is simply so fickle and unreliable, particularly when you try to mess with the unit and turret and siege mode.

Yeah, I'd actually already come to that conclusion (well, almost, just for different reasons). Switched some of the stuff to the BC and some to the Valk. Split it into two units.
My reasoning, though, was that I was POed, and wasn't gonna bother with the siege tank any more.
EDIT: Ok, is the Vulture hardcoded like that too? Just wondering afore I try to change it.

Ok, thanks. And one more question: how do you convert a .wings file into a grp, with all the right frames, colors/palettes, and stuff? I'm having some difficulties with a ship I made.
EDIT: Meh... this is almost more trouble than it's worth. I just can't get it into a grp...
