I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
In beta phase 1 the variable frameratecap could set your max FPS ingame. Now with the EU servers running again, I experience that that variable doesn't work anymore.

Go to options and activate Vertical Sync.
Then your FPS won't go over the Hz you have on your monitor(Which is 60 in most cases).

Btw, the cap doesn't work in the editor anymore, too. A fix would make sc2 be playable on my laptop again
