Woah

Quote from ETEFT(U)
There will be mineral rewards for first, second, and third place. These rewards are 40, 20, and 10, respectively.
Have you asked IP about this? He didn't even give them out for the SC2 contest yet.

I don't quite think it's a matter of him not wanting to give minerals out or somehting, but the fact that they aren't really finished with the store yet.

Woah

He can still give them out, anyway, though. :P

I was also asking because I was curious if IP agreed to give minerals for this or not.

You didn't ask him eteft? :wtfage:

Tho you should've asked him first, ETEFT, it should be fine, since I've asked for his sponsorship for all contests. ^^

Yay Azrael. Apparently you're the only one on a starcraft map making forum that does anything involving making maps anymore. Yay.

Lol :><:

Btw my new high score is 100 exactly ^^

Jul 7 2010, 8:17 pm Chia-Tyrant Post #35

Why is recall constantly cast (aside from every tenth move)? I find it rather annoying. Other than that the map is pretty neat. Plain but neat.

So, Azrael is the only entrant? I don't really blame the others.

Recall is constantly cast to show which tiles will be swapped on your side. Sometimes you miss it and it is helpful to see it again.

It originally was constant, like non-stop, but it was rather distracting (and it also obstructed viewing the units underneath) so I changed it to occur at delayed intervals instead. It happens more than just the tenth move in case you miss or forget it. Basically it serves as a reminder that you need to keep those tiles in consideration, and ensures you won't be left wondering which tiles they were.

I would have given an option to toggle it if I'd known it might be considered annoying =x Is it the audio or visual effect of Recall that's annoying?

Edit: So... what are your best scores? ^^ I just got 69 :D

The competition was tough, but as it turns out Azrael wins again, by unanimous decision.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
