well i was on google and i cant find the correct device driver for my card. I just scavenged an old computer and im hoping to get it up and running with internet. The only problem is that the Ethernet slot on the MOBO is broken and im using this PCI card instead. The computer is a XP if you where wondering. The type of PCI card is(and im just telling you what the card says):
Model:MN-130
Microsoft Broadband Networking
10/100 Ethernet PCI Adapter

I think that google search turned up useful results, however, if you still can't manage to find the driver, go to PCI Database, and then go to the device in Device Manager, right click it, go under Properties, and in the Details tab, get the Vendor ID and put that into PCI Database, then do a find for the Device ID on the resulting page, and it'll typically turn up a link to the right driver, or at least give you more information to search with.

Not the vendor name, the Vendor ID, although it sounds as if you already have a generic MS driver(but the wrong one), I would try a couple more links in that google search.

i tried multiple links on google, but its either a broken link or some random site trying to get me to purchase some random software. I tried other drivers but they dont work for the damn PCI card.

Acquire one of those driver updating programs, like Driver Checker or Driver Genius? This link seems like the best one, if it doesn't work, I'd verify that you got the card name right.

after clicking that link i got this:http://www.microsoft.com/library/errorpages/smarterror.aspx?404;http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/broadbandnetworking/10_DLoadMain.mspx

im guessing im just going to have to buy a new one that comes with its driver :/

Did the card come with a CD? That's what all the Microsoft documents say it should have, and unfortunately it looks like their link to the driver is broken.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"

Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
