Alright so, I saw this movie like 3 years ago about these people in charge of satellites and transmissions coming from space or whatever and they get a transmission that is actually instructions for a sort of space ship and they build it and the first one gets destroyed by some terrorists or whatever. The second one though is a success and the woman goes on a fantastic journey through space talking with aliens and she comes back, take note the whole space ship hanger thing is quite a ways above water and the space ship thing sits in a hanger at the top (at least thats what I remember), and she comes back from her journey and the spaceship falls into the water and the people in the control center tell her all that happened was the spaceship fell through the portal and into the water. And thats all I can remember.

Anyone recognize this movie and care to tell me the name of it so I can get it out of my freakin head?

After a couple phone calls I found out that the movie is called contact. Case closed.
