Quick and stupid question. How to make a Drone fly?

None.

Go into the data editor and change the Drone's mover to fly, probably change the collision to fly as well.

None.

I can only edit the name of the mover. Everything else is greyed out. Something tells me that the name wouldn't affect anything. I'd test but there doesn't seem to be a single-player mode in SC2 beta.

Grey just means unedited, not can't change
Double click where it says "ground"

Also, there is a test button in the editor that launches your map. The "SC" with the arrow underneath.

You misunderstood. I did double-click on the mover where it says "Ground". A dialog box popped up, with a bunch of options. All of them were greyed out, except for Name. When I tried changing them, nothing happened.

Are you looking at the drone unit object? Or the mover object?

None.

Apr 30 2010, 2:02 am Biophysicist Post #7

The mover object.

Wrong place, go to the Drone Unit, look for the mover field.

Erm, that's what I meant. Here's a screenshot that should explain what's going on:

Ah, thanks.

You can also change the height so that it appears off the ground in the Art - Height field, found in the same place.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
