I order you to forgive yourself!

On my new computer, the sound used to be good but since a couple month it's getting worst and worst. Now it's at the point where you can't listen anything. The windows sounds are usually OK, but anything else doesn't seem to work at all. Using recorder I was able to record the noise.

Not sure what details I should add.

I have attached the sound file.

Determine if it is the speakers or the computer.
If it is the computer buy a new sound card.
If it is the speakers buy new speakers.

Forgot to mention... I have tested with working speakers (Using the ones on my other computer.) Also, I would not have been able to record the sound if it was from the speakers.

Blind shot: Disable hardware acceleration for sound and see if it changes anything.

I just tried it and it didn't seem to make a huge difference. To do it (On windows XP), I had to go in Run -> dxdiag -> Sound Tab -> DirectX Features -> Set acceleration to none.

Would you happen to know if you're using HD Audio hardware or AC'97? Check in DXDiag under the Sound tab and it should tell you, or whatever else you're using.

None.

Actually to me it sounds like your sound chip died. At least some section.
Try an external sound card. Get it in a local store, try it out, and if doesn't help, just give it back.

The device name is SoundMAX Digital Audio
The device ID is PCI\VEN_1039DEV_7012SUBSYS_80B01043REV_A

You have the SiS7012 + Realtek AC97 audio, did your speakers ever work in the first place? It's common for people or OSs to accidentally put in the wrong AC'97 drivers because Windows just accepts them, even though there like 10 different ones, this page is supposed to have the right driver for yours.

None.

For some reasons, when I installed the driver, at a certain point windows says that the logo test was not passed. When I click continue anyway, a couple seconds later my computer crashes.

It used to work since I remember watching movies on it around Christmas time.

Edit: I have finally fixed my sound problem, this topic can now be closed.

As if I was not going to say how I did

they basically lost most of their army in one big battle and didn't have the time and production to leverage the economic advantage and come back from that blow.
