I think it'd be an interesting exercise for the people that have taken this test last year to re-take it again and tell us the difference, and possibly what made them change their mind?
I just found this out, so I can't do the exercise I am proposing. ;o

My test from about a year ago:
Economic Left/Right: -6.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.00

Now:
Economic Left/Right: -4.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.74'

I think the main differences between the two trials were about corporations.

The second test labeled me as more authoritarian:
Left: 3.5, Authoritarian: 1.02

I find the whole concept of these very silly. Each issue has its own varied solutions, some more valid than others, and simply choosing between one set of beliefs and another rather than thinking critically is what prevents us from making any governmental progress.

I used to be about (-1. -1). I'm still a moderate though.

IMO if people are truly open minded and able to see the issues on both sides, nobody should ever be in the extremes.

I've consistently fluctuated around the center for years.

This just reminds me that party-based politics is a lousy compromise for solving these sorts of problems, really...

wth is starcraft

Bottom test:
You are a center-right social libertarian.
Right: 2.97, Libertarian: 5.54

I hate these tests. Why did it ask if I wanted to scale back war spending, and yet it didn't ask if I wanted to scale back welfare programs?

meme

Economic Left/Right: -0.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.26

Funny, I've taken the test before and felt I was holding stronger opinions this time.

I think it cancels them out...if you vote strongly left on something then strongly right on another its like you hit neutral twice.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
