I thought "Moose pwns." meant you actually listened to me and was keeping the old database script online simultaneously while working on the new one.
Guess not. :boxed:

Hello

No, I said that because of the task I gave you and you were willing to do so. "When you got time." ;)

Does the splash page require a wide-screen display?[1] D: Not everyone has one.

Hello

No they do not need widescreen. The anchor is on the right so you always see the text and it auto-sizes the image.

I.... wasn't really trying to imply that you were a noob. :ermm: I was just stating that there could be some issues with ease/speed of use, and that if usability/accessibility were absolutely critical -- and as I have no idea what your process or mindset is, I can't know how critical they are, if they're even critical at all -- then other implementations and designs may be preferable. I'm sorry if I offended you. Just trying to help. ._.

Hello

Sunken treasure and file spotlight. Where to put? Above or under all the categories?
And I think I'll keep the reviews section untouched.

Seriously, good luck DeV. Hopefully it will be done anytime soon because I have a lot of maps (5-10) to submit.

When I think about it and about that I have time tomorrow I could finish it tomorrow (by the day after tomorrow). :)

Obviously at the top.
No point to have them at the bottom, seriously.

Thanks for the vote and no I'm actually not mad at him. It's just a bt "harsh" posting solutions before he ever seen the real result. I also told him that over a PM, I'm not angry/mad at all.
Actually, as long as it's not kidblaze, it's hard to make me mad.

The hyphen was annexed only because the minimum thread title length is 3 characters.

Splash needs an "Other" map category for those oddball maps like RP's.

You see the second "Arena" picture on the bottom right in the UMS area? It is meant to be "Others" but I currently have no picture for it.

Hello

So... what's left to do?
Got to wait for some more images by Jamal, gave dldb gods and managers the task to give every map a specific category... well that's pretty much it. And some tiny things on the splash page. Release date is coming much closer :P Maybe in 2-3 days if jamal is hurrying.

Woah

Having 2 images for 1 category seemed confusing at first since there is no separation between each group of 2. Not sure if that will be an issue or not. Otherwise, nice work Jamal and DeV.

Thanks, but there will be no duplicated image. I'm hoping jamal is going to design more of them, unique for every category.

Woah

I didn't mean that. I mean there are 2 example images for each category (as in 2 rectangle screenshots for ARENA, 2 for ASSAULT, etc.).

Here's what I mean:

In each outlined rectangle there are 2 smaller rectangles. Since the text for each category is over the right-most screenshot, the one on the left seems disconnected. Because there is no actual outline between the category images (and every one of the smaller rectangles has the same inner glow layer effect), that may be confusing.

EDIT:
And from a design standpoint, the text doesn't really stand out as much as we may want it to. With so much going on in each screenshot, you're more drawn to the action than the text, it seems.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"
[05:48 pm]
Zoan -- ppl do it all the time in PDEs
[05:47 pm]
Zoan -- Heinermann
Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
[05:44 pm]
NudeRaider -- I only heard about it, didn't any news article, so what did it do then?
[05:43 pm]
Heinermann -- it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
[05:39 pm]
NudeRaider -- I have no idea tbh. All I know no human was ever able to solve it, but there's at least a few that beat portal ;)
[05:32 pm]
Zoan -- Navier Stokes is not that esoteric I thought
[04:32 pm]
NudeRaider -- Zoan
Zoan shouted: I find it kind of sad that on the same day it was announced AI solved Navier Stokes, it was also announced AI beat Portal, and there's a good deal of people who don't know which is more impressive
you find it sad not everyone is a math nerd?
[03:25 pm]
NudeRaider -- (and yes, I capitalized that correctly :ego:)

Symmetry shouted: Hi not I'm dad
