Alex jones in a new light.

I'm only here because they patched SC1 and made it free.

While it is true that the powerful men and women before are planning the emergence of a New World Order, a one world government, it's not for some "evil" reason.

People take hard jobs as presidents and prime ministers, because they legitimately care for the citizens of their country. Centralized control really scares people like Alex Jones, but it's not so bad. For instance we have a centrally controlled banking and monetary system in the United States, and it is because of such a system that a deflationary spiral can be prevented, and it is because of such a system that government can pass stimulus bills during a recession, to stop unemployment from approaching a crisis level.

Now some of these teabaggers have expressed fear about the upcoming cashless economy. However if you think about the sort of people who rely heavily on cash, they are exactly the sort of people whose activities need to be more heavily controlled, for instance gang members and con men.

In a cashless economy, it becomes nearly impossible to purchase an illegal gun, which should help cut down on gun violence substantially. In addition it becomes very difficult to transmit ransom money, which makes the jobs of kidnappers more difficult as well. Counterfeiting becomes completely impossible. In contrast, legitimate economic activities are completely unhindered.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
