Just here for the activity... well not really

Is it like, preplaced tiles or is it creep/pylon aura?

The virtual world is the left half of the map. Reality is the right half. So preplaced tiles.

ForTheSwarm, you are out of PM space, so I am posting the current version of the EXE here for you. Download it and get started on balancing, please. My retarded test map is also attached; the mod will not work properly on any other map. It must be played in UMS mode.

EDIT: Apparently there's still some glitches left to work out.

Demo of the XDF has been released! I have attached it. Still no more maps available yet.

EDIT: Damn, ForTheSwarm broke some of the units while balancing the mod. I need to fix it.

EDIT2: Fixed.

Updated to fix a few minor bugs Hercanic found, mostly strings. You'll have to re-DL it.

FTS, this is the current version, btw. It was based off of your version, so your balancing changes are there.

Progress update: All three races are completed. The mod will be released after FTS finishes balancing it and we get portaits/sounds/custom building GRPs done.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
