Starcraft is a game that requires the use of highly developed motor controls with your mouse. The greatest advice: play a lot.

You will learn almost nothing by playing against computers. Don't do it after you understand the extreme basics of the game.

Replay seems bugged. Try reuploading it here: www.repdepot.net

Also, play on these maps: http://www.iccup.com/files/view/iCCup_maps_02.html , do not play on the ones blizzard provides...

3.) Don't be too slow to start building buildings. The second you get 150 minerals as Terran, pull an SCV out of mining and start building a Barracks. After that, your Supply Depot. Then your Academy and/or Refinery, depending on what build order you're going for.
4.) Watch these replays:

5.) Practice. A lot.
6.) What server do you play on? We can game a few if you like.

After your good enough you should base your gameplay off of the mid-game you want to end up at. Make a gameplan for yourself.

What do you want to have going for you by the time you hit the mid-game stage? A few extra bases? A decent army that can combat the other races' options all around? Reasonable tech? etc...
Make your early-game play accomplish the goals of your mid-game gameplan.

... do you play Terran?

Don't build your barracks first unless you're cheesing or expect cheese. Depot first (right as your 8th SCV pops and your 9th starts) is standard in 95%+ of TvZ games.

Ultraviolet -- just sent you a message on Discord. I suspect you're probably trying to change unit speeds for units that don't use flingy.dat for movement (like any units that walk instead of hovering/flying). You can change their movement to flingy, but they unfortunately look more like they're gliding than walking when you do that.
[07:31 pm]
Symmetry -- EE2, I've been using setdatfile successfully for units.dat and weapons.dat but the flingy changes don't seem to happen
[05:25 pm]
Ultraviolet -- in EE2 you just open DatEdit, go to the flingy tab, and make whatever changes you want. Though if you want to do dynamic shit, you have to use the trigger editor with the setdatfile action. And of course you have to inject your changes when done. Can give more specific troubleshooting advice if you provide more details
