Extra unused triggers?

So, I took the section length of TRIG and divided it by 2400. It came out 3, when I very clearly only had 2 triggers (no mission briefings). It seems to like to add blank/empty triggers (the default StarEdit). What's up with that?

None.

Sometimes switching between editors can cause errors.

Once in a while you'll find a blank trigger with no players. It's just a strange occurrence.

Well, what game-type was it?

I'm pretty sure there are some triggers auto-programmed into the game-type that are specified by the GOT files. I don't know much at all about them though, so I'm really not sure, but MindArchon is probably right.
