Sorry to necro...but this is so infuriating. I start up the map and during the tutorial, where my screen is locked in position, I can't move my fucking cursor anywhere. In fact, this seems to be the case for whenever the screen is locked. If I try to move my cursor away from the center of the screen, it just jumps back in an instant. I can't get it away from the center long enough to select anything. It's as if the "center view" action applies not just to my screen, but to my cursor as well, which doesn't make any sense. Does anyone have any idea why I'm having this problem and how to fix it?

Yep, that did it. Thanks!

I still don't understand why that problem even occurs, though.

Dungeon Master

It's a single player issue. Center screen centers the mouse too in SP for whatever reason, and applying a hyper trigger to it makes it impossible to move your mouse.

Hello

I can't believe I missed this map!
It's awesome! Failed at the reactor.

Someone should finish this... since he said this map was an "orphan" after all ^^ That line-of-sight enemy thingamajigure sounds really neat

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
