Illnath's "Second Skin of The Harlequin" was probably won of the better symphonic goth metal albums I've heard though, "And There Was Light", "Pieta", and "Clockwork of Sand" were good tracks.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of this band, they have some amazing songs

Anaal Nathrakh - Between Shit and Piss We Are Born
Also, poiuyqwert, I forgot to mention a bunch of Goth bands since I was pretty tired when I wrote that. Try Sirenia, Tristenia (Anything before 2000), Nightwish, Distorted, Unsun, Within Temptation, After Forever, and Lacuna Coil. You've probably heard alot of those names before, but if you're into stuff like that CoF song, then those are the bands you want to look into.
Hot Hot Heat - Middle Of Nowhere But you’re waiting at the door Where everybody’s hanging out just like they hung out before You didn’t have to do it but you did it to say That you didn’t have to do it but you would anyway
Disturbed - Believe - Darkness Dare to believe Over one last time And then I'll let the darkness cover me Deny everything Slowly walk away To breathe again On my own...

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.
Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
