There probably arn't many people familiar with MediaWiki skinning but I hope this can be solved with just general server/site knowledge. I created a skin by copying MonoBook and editing it to my needs and everything was working great (editing the php and css would update on a hard refresh). I went to bed, now 8 hours later nothing I do has any affect on the skin. I changed some colors, uploaded the CSS, then hard refreshed my browser (command+r here in mac safari, same as ctrl+f5) but nothing changed. So I cleared my cache and hard refreshed again, still nothing. I tried deleting deleting the css file from the FTP, clearing my cache, closing the browser, then opening it back up to the site, still no change. Now I start assuming its just my browser being a bastard and not clearing the cache and stuff, so I asked a friend to check it out. This person has never seen the page so does not have a cached copy of the CSS/HTML, and even though I deleted the CSS from the ftp entirely, they still get the OLD css. Wtf is going on?

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
Maybe there's a back up CSS file somwhere that you're missing?
It gives me that impression since you say you deleted the css and nothing happened.
fuck you all

Well everywhere I've looked its said just to edit the css file, it never says anything about "backup files". My guess right now is there is some server-side cacheing going on but I can't seem to find anywhere that mentions it or what to do about it.
Edit: Well I found out the problem by shear chance. It seems the webhost transfered its servers while I was sleeping, then in the morning I was editing the files on the OLD FTP, which had everything still there so I had no idea there was a new server.
