Oh. I forgot. IP provides the money to keep SEN running, right?
He also owns the domain. Moose just works here, IP owns everything.

Interesting. Would it be possible for Moose to use the guilt trick to get IP active, then?

'Centreri said that it might be a good idea to move to Latova, because not much is being done for SENv5. You against that?'
'No, forget Latova, I'll go finish the DLDB now.'
None.

Won't work.
Actually, since my failed ML 2.0 venture, I learned a bit about Latova and what would have to be done to convert the various modules (DLDB, ect.) over to the new kernel version. Its a bit of work, but it isn't all that hard, and for someone who can code (Which we could really use.), it wouldn't take that long. We could have a fully functioning Latova-based SEN fairly easily and I think our biggest obstacle would become having someone do the skin (Syphon, Corbo?).
This is all if IP would actually allow it, which he wont. You can try talking to him though.

I'll do that. Why won't it work, though?
None.
He won't even notice at first if you do it quick enough.
None.

Coding as I understand it has a bit of personal style to it. IP and Yoshi are very different people, and it is highly evident in their coding. I have been told they both have entirely different ways of doing things. When you consider IP would be the one doing the converting to the new kernel and any other adaptations SEN would require, and that the system he's doing it on was designed by Yoshi, you're trying to get fire and water to work together without causing more problems than we started with. This isn't even taking into account that IP personally doesn't like Yoshi in the first place. And for anyone who thinks that isn't a factor, pay a bit more attention to SEN's dramatic history.
It isn't going to work because IP isn't active, and he isn't going to become more active to give us a system he doesn't want to use. So you either find yourself another coder, which he will undoubtedly have a problem with anyway, or give him motivation to become active in the first place.

No, why won't this work:
''Centreri said that it might be a good idea to move to Latova, because not much is being done for SENv5. You against that?'
'No, forget Latova, I'll go finish the DLDB now.''
I've sent a PM to IP about the switching-to-Latova matter. We don't even necessarily need him, I think - we don't REQUIRE a complete transfer of the member base, as everyone can reregister. If we want, I don't believe it's that difficult to save post count and severity to transfer into the Latova database. The forums don't have to be saved, but can be reconfigured. If you really want to transfer all the current threads and PM's, that's a (slightly) different matter, but I don't believe it's necessary. Most of the people who posted here, at least, don't seem like they'd mind reregistering.
None.
Because nothing short of an atomic bomb is going to get IP off of Heroes Of Newerth. We can say whatever we like, and IP will say fuck you, my site, now leave me alone I'm playing HoN.
Anyway, we'd essentially be making a new site then Cent, and I don't believe IP would support that. And if IP doesn't support it, we can't use Staredit.net as our domain, which means it is no longer SEN in any way shape or form. See where we're going with this?
You need to convince IP, not me, not Moose, not the rest of SEN, that Latova is a good idea. You might as well try to build a rope out of sand.

You think IP's evil. :c
Well, I sent my PM, I'll see how it goes.
None.
Ex, I don't really know IP, but I know he's not like you very much. What you're talking about is what your reaction to being asked to switch would be. Why don't we just let IP have a word in this instead of jumping to conclusions about what we will say?
None.

I speak to IP just about every day. I think I know him pretty well, and this is honestly what I think he's going to say/do. I'd love to be proven wrong though. Paging IP, paging IP....
Oh and btw, that would not be my reaction at all, which shows how much you know of me/IP/the situation in general. I've dealt with Yoshi, IP, Moose, v5, Latova, and every mapping site from a to z, so you should think before opening your mouth. I want this switch, but I'm being realistic about it.

I think he was going for a reverse psychology approach.. "IP won't (blah blah blah)", in order to get him to do whatever that "Blah Blah" was..

I don't make mistakes. I capitalize on those that do.

*sure
My opinion is devilesk-supported. Beat that!

Why so serious? Let's put a smile on that face!
And yes, IP loves his HoN. But he still visits SEN when we're having a break after a game though, so he's not that neglectful. =)

Its easy, make hon cost money and he'll be back on sen.
Besides, I quit hon ;o
