The Wiki needs a 'hub', as Tuxedo-Templar put it. Right now when you enter the wiki section all you have are new discussions and recently edited listings. There is no index or outer view of what is inside, the only way to see what we do and do not have is by entering a blank search query. At the top of the wiki main page I suggest having 'projectesque' buttons linking to various categories, (IE Terrain, UMS, Modding, Reference, Triggers etc) each being a list of all the articles that apply.

Secondly, regular posts or at least OP posts should have all the tools that the wiki has (Encase, Table, List). This would allow, for instance, more organized Production and Project and Sticky threads.

And thirdly, Wiki articles can't be deleted or renamed; this should be fixed.

Edit: But seriously. Wouldn't hurt if the wiki was interconnected better. Though I think the articles themselves could accommodate that to some degree. For example, by adding liberal use of references to other relevant articles whenever possible.

I think that largely the reason they are cross-reference lacking is owed to the fact that it isn't interconnected in the first place. People mostly only know of the articles they've looked for or worked on- you have to know of the article to link to it.

On an unrelated note; the winner of the 2009 RPG challenge should be given the first 'Elite' status; just for fun :P

Wait, really!?!? Now that there's a chance I could recieve some prize for this, I feel super-motivated to finish my map and improve the quality of RPGs on battle.net. Further, in this swell of motivation I now feel I am now suddenly super compelled to be extra productive in making SEN a better website and community for us all. Gee golly, I really hope I win!

This proposal has given me similar feelings as well.

I actually can't be more motivated, because I have an innate ability to spawn my own motivation from sheer will. Although, if I were lacking in the motivation department, I'm sure this would give me a much needed boost.

While it was just a joke, the funny thing is that this actually did work with minerals. The Terrain Competition round that had 300 minerals at the end of the rainbow was the one most participated. Rank really doesn't mean anything but it may as well be given to someone. Don't think I'm under any illusion that this would somehow boost moral.

SCMDraft has 2 entries, map limits has 2 entries, fog of war has 2 entries. If this were the start page, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

When searching, if I search for "unit speeds" I get "changing unit speeds", "units", and "unit information". What I don't get is what I wanted, "Unit Speeds".

haha for sure. in some ways it's even more exciting because you can play EUD maps on regular battle.net, don't need to convince someone to download your mod to play with you. what did you do?
