Whenever I plug in my Ipod touch, it always says syncing in progress, but i don't want to sync anything, the probem is it freezes up Itunes whenever I plug in my ipod touch. I dont know how to stop Itunes from freezing

Try synching it with Songbird, and format it and load new firmware if that doesn't work.

You could just get a connector that connects to a power outlet. Good to carry around anyway. You can get everything you need off Wifi.

But I download my music free on my computer, or I record it. I need to put the songs on my computer to my ipod.

I'm gonna go with the basics, try changing computers/ports/cables.
