How would you have a league for UMS players? It would have to be for a specific map. And no one map has that sort of following.

I'd love to argue that.. but then I'd be immodest. XD :P

Won't happen due to the fact that even Mapnight couldn't be kept on...

TS doesn't have the kind of following for a league. Little single person run tournies? Sure. But not a league.

Snipers Bald Locks was the first to do this many years ago. Somewhat successful.

I'm pretty sure the Civil War League was before Sniper's Bald Locks, also the initial Civilization UMS League was about 3 years ago. If I remember right that Sniper's league was right in between when the Civil War league failed and the Civilization League started up.

The first attempt for a Snipers league was by yours truly and pretty much completely fell through, that had to have been in like '04 or so. There have been many attempts but snipers are pathetic and literally 3/4 of people will try to cheat to win, damning any league.

Temple Siege could do it if the community got organized and stopped playing 18 different versions of the same map.

Zoan -- of course it isn't full understanding. You could ask "is the mechanism by which this counterexample blows up the ONLY mechanism possible for an initial configuration to blow up?"
[05:48 pm]
Zoan -- ppl do it all the time in PDEs
[05:47 pm]
Zoan -- Heinermann
Heinermann shouted: it also didn't solve that problem but hey as long as the investors are pleased
Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
[05:44 pm]
NudeRaider -- I only heard about it, didn't any news article, so what did it do then?
