Awaken, Cerebrate, it is I, Kerrigan, Queen of Blades and master of the swarm. I am sending you on an important mission to an undiscovered planet. I have sensed psionic eminations very like those of the protoss in the star system Chargan Beta. Even as we speak our armies mass up around a Xel'nagan artifact discovered on the planet's surface, constructing special stasis cells to form enhanced hybrids. It appears that the race native to the planet is in possession of other Xel'Nagan technology and have constructed various warp gates. We have determined that these natives, the Kalcari, are likely an offshoot of the Protoss race, attracted here millennia ago by the ancient artifact. If we can successfully integrate the Kalcari into our swarm we can vastly improve our ability to produce hybrids. The technology used by the Kalcari differs from that of the Protoss, their pylons are unprotected from infestation. Using the power from infested pylons we could theoretically produce mass hybrids at the Xel'Nagan temple.
This campaign was made completely with StarEdit and can only be played with broodwar.
The player character is a Hybrid Cerebrate, you start at the top-left corner of the map wth a Xel'Naga temple, a hive, 2 stasis cells, a large army made up of both Zerg and Hybrid units, and two cerebrates. The enemy consists of spread out encampments surrounding Warp Gates. Shortly after the game begins, you will be attacked by a small force from the far south. Using Hybrid infestors, you are able to Infest pylons. After aquiring several infested pylons the Xel'Naga Temple begins spawning Hybrid warriors (weak infested kerrigan missing some abilities)
I will admit that the map isn't something you'de play more than a couple times, but once I finish the rest of the missions it will create a nice little storyline.
