Master has given Dobby a doctorate! Dobby is free!

Pics of the smallest bridge you can make?

Bottom side is slightly blocky...but it's the best I got.

This is the closest to as short as possible that you're gonna get.[/jokeentry]

If I'm not lazy I'll actually cook up a good one.

Just here for the activity... well not really

Actually Inferno, it CAN get smaller than that by diagonals :P

Actually, applying the Pythagorean theorem, it's longer with diagonals. Remember a2+b2=c2? In this case, it would be 1+1=2, and the square root of two is radical 2. Using a calculator, that rounds to 1.4. 1.4 > 1. :bleh:

Corbo, ours is about the same length, just mine looks longer because of the little rail thingy...I'll whip up a better one (probably on twilight, as well).

[joke]Inferno's is far too blocky. FAIL.[/joke]

actaully the "river" the bridge is crossing in yours has varying widths, so are we using the widest point of the thinnest?

No, we aren't measuring the river, we are measuring the bridge.

I suppose it should be the average measure of the entire bridge, including rails. Unfortunately, I can't make the twilight bridge shorter. However, I can make it narrower, but there are some problems--the units have to be spammed to cross it.

Hello

Falko, that's awesome, is an ultralisk able to walk over it?

Please report errors in the Staredit.Network forum.

Jul 30 2009, 7:38 pm Falkoner Post #13

Actually, you have to change a tile on it to make it completely walkable, as you see it in that picture, you have to micro the unit to get it to go over it, the pathfinding AI won't do it on its own.

thats not true, usually you can just click to the other side and it'll go to the other side.

Constructing a counterexample is answering the question: "Is Navier Stokes well posed?" in the negative
