------------------------------
Battle Clash
------------------------------

Overview:
This is a 3v3 map, where the objective is to kill the other team's photon cannons with your zergling. Your zergling is invincible, and when you run into an enemy zergling you fight a Battle Clash with that player on some other part of the map. If you succeed in the Battle Clash, you gain 5 minerals, your enemy gains only 3. Your enemy respawns at their base, and you respawn where you were when you ran into the person. Minerals are spent on buying more units. There are 9 different units to buy, and you start off with 1 zergling each round, and 6 hydras every time you lose a battle. Once your team's cannons die, you lose! Microing during the battles gives you a a great edge!

Here is a picture of the arena in which your ling runs around.

Here is a picture of me pwning in a Battle Clash :D

The map is currently being released as a beta, but I doubt the final version will have a very big difference in comparison to this beta. So just treat this as if it were the final version.

All the units have been balanced, and so far I know of no bugs. All in all I think this map contains about 100 triggers, and is 64x64 tiles in size.

This game is a simple, fast-paced, short game. The average 3v3 lasts about 10 minutes. 2v2 last longer than that, varying depending on player skill differences, and 1v1's will last forever.

This map CAN NOT be played unless the teams have an equal amount of players on each side, I will sometime in future create an AI that will appear for a team in case a person leaves, but for now there is no such solution.

Kewl.. I want to try this out... :O

The idea seems cool... But wouldn't it be kinda bad if you're fighting with them say.. and you win.. they respawn instantly and just come rushing at you again.... and then you gotta go through the trouble in defeating him again...
I think the loser should have at least a 10 second respawn time.

Secondly.. Isn't the battle arena a little small?
Thirdly, is there anyway for multiple people to join battle..
Fourthly, there should be some retribution for a person to continually battle.. I'd suggest this: Since you're using units to battle... I suggest that the units are not Resetted until you 1) are defeated 2) go back to base to heal...

This'd even things out

Fifth... are there choices of weapons that I can pick.. and you MUST have the weapons highly strategic and/or micro-able.. or else the game is boring and not in depth to keep the normal b.netter interested.

lastly. i gotta play this to find out :D

If I can find some time, I will add a way for multiple people to join a battle. ATM I'm really crunched..

And about respawning, no. The map is made so that gameplay is extremely fast, and doesn't last too long. Around 5-10 minutes per game.

About continually battleing, you keep the units you buy until you lose them. When you do die, you start with 6 hydralisks. Every battle your ling is rehealed. You can VERY MUCH SO use this knowledge to help yourself out during the game. A simple strategy for early on, is to hit your first battle, and win. Then don't spend ANY money, and run into the same person, and lose. Now, you have 8 minerals to spend, your enemy has 8 minerals to spend. Your enemy most likely bought units, so you can buy units to counter theirs, AND have 6 fully healed hydralisks since you lost your last match. Also, make your ling take as much damage as possible every round, since you start with a fully healed ling each round.

For the weapons, they are just units that you battle with. I allowed some splash damage units, mines, Infested Terrans, ranged units and melee units to play with. Microing helps, a lot.

Bug fix of when you try to enter the enemies spawning area, which would create terrible trigger crashing bad things!

Earlier file version had: 20 hits.

I also nurfed the dragoons, as they had a little bit too much hp and attack for the price.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
