It might just be the player color, because the pylon and the other units are red as well.

Could be. However, they should have it some-what related to BW and have rings that are colored whatever colors the player color is, and anyway they should have a Protoss unit that can mind control :)

Starcraft II are putting Dragoons in. NOT IMMORTALS, I mean THE DRAGOONS from SC I but they'll put them for use of the Map Editor.

I rephrased what I believe you are trying to say:

As far as Mapping & Modding goes, here's an epic tidbit - models for the removed units will be avaliable. SC2 will ship with the Dragoon, Vulture, and others avaliable for SC2 mods. This should come as little surprise to the Modding community - many of whom already intended to make an SC2 -> SC1 Total Conversion.

i hope they dont give DA mind control ability over workers again.....it kinda ruins the game when one guy can have all three races at once

no it doesn't

if two players are equally skilled, the player that chooses to build up another tech tree will ALWAYS lose. the amount you need to put into a tech tree before it becomes viable is huge.

if you've lost to a player that built up another entire tech tree...you just need to get better....

acutually its pretty easy to build up multiple tech trees on large island maps (256x256) or even fastest maps...you can easier hide the fact that u do have multiple races...primeval isles is actually one of those large island maps...there is so many expos to supply with enough money and u can hide ur other tech tree behind all ur other expos...i one game i even got tank dropped by a protoss player, we took him out cause it was a 2v1 at the end but the map takes a long time to be in a 3v3 or a 4v4 making building another tech tree easy...

anyway i hope zerg still get Infested Terran....i mean banelings are cool but the dont do enough dam. and infested terran is great for ums

I think that a pinned topic should be made that describes each and every unit as it should be described that we know of. I think I saw a couple of units in the Protoss section that I am holding right in front of my face here with my PC Gamer magazine that isn't on that list. This way things would be more organized.

Symmetry -- Man I wish we had this tech back in the day when people played ums lmao
[2026-7-16. : 6:28 am]
NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor
[2026-7-16. : 2:28 am]
Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

Symmetry -- NudeRaider
NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
