I've tried using widescreen monitor once (excluding laptops). And I hated it. So no, no widescreen for me.
(I generally hate the idea of widescreen, even for TVs)

I use narrowscreen.

Why not just keep the monitor where it is and rotate the display 270 degrees?

I meant... flip the monitor on it's side.

That's how we had to set the computers up at my campus. The IT staff wanted the monitors to be more internet-surfing and paper-writing friendly.

My laptop is 1280x800.
