Is it possible to make the gates invincible when no enemies are in range? Just played a game where I had no chance of losing but the enemy killed all 3 of their gates before marines (even though it was 3v1 against me). Anything to stop this cheating would help.

I think the previously suggested system where you get the kills for the spawns after the warpgates are destroyed would completely counteract this cheating.

Well l3 is a stun, so it's probably just a huge slash or something that knocks his opponents out for a little.
True, but it also kills multiple spawns one by one. I guess it could be either way.
Warrior should be more buff, he has highest HP and is not represented well by a little boy.
I had originally thought of Warrior being really muscular, but, he is also one of the fastest units, so I went for more lean, functional, muscle rather than overly buff muscle that you get from repetition on weights. He just looks kinda short because he's suppose to be leaning forward (kinda hard to show w/o shadowing) That's also why his arms look relatively long compared to his body. Also, on my laptop, the picture looks a bit more squished, so I don't know if that's the same affect for any of you.

Hey guys, I truly do enjoy doing all the storyline stuff, but it's killing the 1.4 discussion. Could you possibly make a new thread for the storyline stuff so that people actually respond when other people make suggestions about M gameplay (i.e. Me and iceman both making suggestions and no one even responding to them)?

It's not that I'm crying that no one is responding to my posts, it's that Boone is responding to anyone's gameplay suggestions since the story stuff started. I'm just saying that this IS a discussion board, and there has been no gameplay discussion since the story stuff started, even dispute the fact that people have had chances to talk about gameplay. I also hardly ever complain when people ignore my suggestions. That's not what bothers me, it's that there is no discussion on a discussion board, and I think it would be reasonable to suggest people just start a new thread for stories.

take a look at who's topic this is. If I don't have a problem with it, then it doesn't matter. Discussion is taking place, just not the kind you want. This does not bother me.

Hey unholy, maybe you should start another thread for the stories, so it doesn't overlap with 1.4 discussion. That way, it'll also be easier to find all the story stuff.

Does anyone else notice the scourge all directed to the top left corner half the time when casting Volt's Lv1?(at least they die on time though) Noticed in M5, but didn't see it mentioned as something fixed in M6.
It's funny that volt only got this Lv1 because his original one (hallus) glitched some things up.
Since it uses Junkyard Dog, it's not impossible that they can all be moved in one direction.
Also, if there's an air unit nearby, they'll all rush it.

Do the scourges n the spell even matter? Or are they just put there for effect? If so, you could just take them out altogether and end all the madness that has been associated with them.

No, actually it is very possible that they don't matter. Trigger wise, you could set a delay on when then stun happens, so it corresponds with the scourge deaths, meaning the the scourges don't really matter in the spell. I also meant that you could maybee change what unit is used as the stunners, so that they aren't prone to all this stuff as much.

It's not possible to duplicate that spell without units flying around to represent the shockwave. If a hero has scourage owned by p7 over them, they get the stun effect.
I think interceptors would be nice to be seen used, as they are faster to move and respond, yet still small. Scourages good the best though.
Anything other than scourages and interceptors would be too large, slow, and ugly.

Acually, it is possible, this is how:
1. Create a location, of about the as big as scourge can travel in 1 second they move. Then create a trigger switch, where when the switch is set, the location moves to the volt.
2. Set his spell so when the l1 is cast, it creates the scourge effect, and it also turns off the switch so the location stays where it is when he casts it.
3. Then finish the effect so after a certain amount of time, the scourges have their small explosion thing, and it also causes the opponent in the location to be paralyzed.
4. Set an effect so any opponent in the area has the same effect the scourges had when they died, this making it look like the scourges actually hit the person and blew up
Of course I skipped on the effect details, since they really have nothing to do with the spell. This would work just like the current volt's l1, although I don't know exactly if that's how it's triggered.
And as another note, it doesn't matter if the scourge flies over a person. I've seen it happen Where no scourges are near him, like they spawn all flying to the upper left, and someone is still hit by the spe.ll

ok please simplify whats the difference between your new method and the current method cause i'm not seeing it at all. When i first read your first idea i thought you meant removing the scorges completely and having an invisible effect to dodge. Please explain because this is confusing the crap out of me.

Yeah it is pretty confusing. What would make it different from the current version? The real problem is that itall goes one direction, and that does not solve it. As for getting stuned without a scourge right ontop of you, it is probably because the location is bigger than the hero. It doesn't really make much of a difference. Your method could just overcomplicate things. Also, the defiler system is used; therefore, there will be as many defilers as there are scrouges. This could cause major slowdown.
