Modding Terrain/Unit Graphics

I'm converting a board game to SC and I'd like to make a terrain mod to replace the terrain graphics with solid colors so it's easier to tell what player controls what parts of the board. I've downloaded Hawt Tiles (TileEdit 2) from Campaign Creations but I have no idea how to use it. Do I need to extract tilesets from one of the SC MPQs first? Do I then just replace existing tiles with custom graphics or should I use the blank/black tiles? Thanks, guys.

ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO

Yeah, extract the terrain files and open them with hawt tiles. It should draw the tiles for you and you can export / import groups as bitmaps for you to edit.

fuck you all

Alright, thanks. I have another question, though. Do I have to do anything special to change burrowed unit graphics as opposed to regular unit graphics? Or does it all work the same way?

None.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
