This suddenly popped up when I was in the middle of shouting:



I cannot type or use any keys. It will either beep loudly or type out the symbols. This happens sometimes when I'm gaming, too. It'll pop up and I can't type or move. I eventually have to close out of the game and restart.

I have an Asus laptop, if that has anything to do with it.

What is this? How do you exit it?

Right-click on your taskbar, go to "Toolbars", and check "Language Bar". A thing should pop-up SOMEWHERE. Play around with it, and try to set your language to English.

The Regional and Language settings area of the Control Panel is the official way to access the settings. Put your keyboard back to the standard US-QWERTY input and you should be fine. You're in a phonetic Chinese input mode right now.

That wasn't it, but close. I went to the language settings and reset the keybind that changes input languages. LEFT + ALT + SHIFT changed the input from English to Chinese, so I just disabled that one. Thanks guys.
