Jello Jigglers... i have to admit you crushed everyone here. i was going to attempt to mix a few ideas together... but all in all yours is way to elegant and nicely to put the effort into it. After glaring at it for a few moments i gotta say its perfect, one 2 pix squareness but nevertheless sexy, damn good job man

lol fallen, he used sprites to cover the spots EVERYONE miss's and the rest is nothing new, the bridge to high dirt is blocky as fuck. Not to mention that's basically just high dirt to high dirt, which has been done many times before including in temple siege.

Well thanks? Actually 2 of the sprites fit nicely onto temple pieces if you look closely. Bet mine is better than yours ^^

I was pretty dissapointed with my first attempt, so I decided to give it another shot xD

I'm pretty impressed with what I have done. It's kinda a two-level bridge. Also, with NO SPRITES!!! :bleh:

The only real problems with this is the corner of the 2nd floor.

That looks great! Nice job :)

Haha I just noticed you used the same staircase tiles I did. Can you show how it can connect to other terrain parts?

Edit:
Also, is the vision from the lower level to the top and vice versa?

What do you mean the "other" terrain parts? Do you mean the low bridge to high bridge? It all came from blending different blends together. I remember seeing a part using a bridge piece with water, so I used that. I also remembered the "pillar" thing blending well into a bridge edge from an interior piece of terrain. The cliff tile inder the pillar can be blended easily with almost anything!

I'm pretty sure that you can see from the bottom bridge to the top, but not vice versa. The bottom consists of high dirt, so it should be able to look over it, but the 2nd floor consists of bridge tiles. This could easily be changed, though.

The map is attached. (I changed the 2nd floor to high dirt, too lazy to do another pic xD)

I mean like how would you blend this back into dirt or high dirt.

ps I liked the pic better than the map. It looks better, change it back(also, it reduces it functionality because it adds tiles that aren't walkable (the cliff tops) )

It took me a while to find a blend for the back side, so I came up with this:

The only blocky part is the top part... I have no idea how to fix it :S

Bleh... That's kinda pretty bad. I'll take a crack at it.

Better than yoshi's, but still not too great.

@pig: my problem is that the right side looks like it's the same height as the original, even though you went upstairs??

I like that, it's almost like a whole new terrain type, raised bridge :P

I know it. I'm glad I pursued this subject, even from v4 :bleh:

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
