I'm making a risk game board and used starcraft picture maker 5 and have created a world map and i have made it somewhat isometric to get the land shape and the nice water.

my problem is i kind of need the colors to color code countries to make things easier and im not thrilled about have isom borders and stuff but idk. As of now i have isom bordering water and squares over virtually every country. It looks Shitty but the minimap is how i want it. How in tarnation do i fix the ingame shitty terrain but keep the minimap roughly the same so i can esily tell between what country is what?

i also cannot afford to clutter the countries too much with doodads and such either due to gameplay just to let ya know

heres the attached map:

It's not really possible to keep the same minimap and have nice terrain too, you can try to divide it with natural barriers, but that's about it. :(
