Map Inspirations

Quote
I hope to make 3 maps, 96 by 96 dimensions
Where as it mimics the genre of the 90's,
and psx's and GameCubes resident evil zero to three
err, and i think fallout helped too =p
Edit : I thing dead space and some of the next gen games helped

The map is set in "Post Apocalyptic" Era Of Nuclear Fallout where in a facility where humans where given serum 38x the mutants are the "Outsiders" following the "Collapse of the Earth" in this exciting survival horror rpg.
This Takes Place On 81NE (Nuclear Era)

Intro

"curiosity is one thing invincible in nature,
If one were to be invincible one would need to know nature,
but disease is the retribution of nature."

Characters
To balance the fact that there might be very few people willing to play this at some hours of the day, and to make it single player adaptable I've made it so that any other character that's not currently controlled a computer will play that character. another feature is defensive and offensive state which the computer will try to micro less (when there's a monster they attack and run repeat). Another feature is the ability of switching units. Each character can do a unique skill and ability, in storyline five women and seven men escape. Only 7 of them escaped,

Shelly Wakefield - Kerrigan/Ghost (Medical Specialist) [Age - 28]

John Wilkins - Jim Raynor/Marine (Explosives) [Age - 22]

Damion Armstrong
- Marine (Demolition /Vehicle Expert) [Age - 31]

Kyle Hardrock - Ghost (Espionage/Criminal Skills) [Age - 21]

Robert Jay - Fenix/Zealot (Science) [Age - 38]

Abilities

Each Character Will Have A Mutation/Mental Ability Bar (Gas), Max = 1k gas
This will determine how often they can use there skills.
Each class has unique abilities (Might Need balance),
And new abilities can be bought and earned from different people (Partly abilities), these party abilities mean that each person can use the spell once with no gas use but at a delay time, with the other spells there is no delay time. Here is each players special abilities.

Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[04:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
