On installation levels throughout the starcraft campaign there is some sort of doodad that has dead marines lying on the floor or slumped up against a wall. i vaguely recall coming across it on the doodad list of the campaign editor before i downloaded scmdraft but i might just be imagining it. anyway, i have an installation map and under the doodad pallete i cant find the dead marines anywhere. are they in some other place or does scmdraft not even have them?

Try checking "Sub-structure wall" #'s 10-13.
That should be what you're looking for.

What your looking for is under Installation > Substructure Wall > 6th to the last. [Near the bottom]
