I could join.

I know I'm new to all of you. This is my first post at SEN. I've been lurking around from the beginning, though, just reading the forums but not posting anything (I mean the new beginning). But this tournament would be great opportunity to get to know everyone.

And yes, I suck too. Most of you guys have told you suck, but I really suck. I lose 90% from my 1v1 games, and I only join public games which ask for a noob player. So those people I lose to are noobs too, or at least they think so, even when they can beat me eyes closed.

But hey, I'm gonna practice and be better.

Well, it turned out my B.net screwed over (damn you blizz) but it turns out I can still go on mod servers (Podolsk, ShadowFlare's, etc.)

I can't participate, simple as that.

Dec 16 2007, 1:04 pm BeDazed Post #32

We could never manage enough players. So I am gonna keep this idea reserved for when SEN is actually more active.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

Symmetry shouted: Ohhh imagine a SC map that could delete itself
not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
