I've used blank grps before... try copy+pasting the bluish-black color that surrounds a normal unit grp over the unit.

Hmm, were those crashing fully transparent images created in RetroGRP? Just asking, because from my experience, SC will accept anything, as long as it is a valid GRP.

BTW, unless you are dealing with the interface graphics, color #0 is not transparent. Transparent pixels actually do not have a palette index in the regular compressed grp format. You can actually have non-transparent color #0 if you have the converter use a different color to decide whether to make something transparent.

For the most part, color #0 is just black. However, in space you can see the stars background wherever a unit has color #0.

What I've mentioned above is precisely the reason I allow you to pick which color to make transparent with my converter.

Use tmprmgraphicstart like FTS suggested?

Yep, I've already used it....

I've even tried removing all the imgol/imgul/playfram from the script as you suggested....

Problem: The unit is selectable.

Tried to change the images.dat, quitting the "Clickable" option.
Then changed the units.dat the "Advanced" Tab, seleting the "Single Entity" option.

It works, but the rare truth is that the unit is still selectable in the game. The "Single Entity" option avoid to select more than one unit with the drag&click, but if you select just one unit, it's still selectable. You didn't click it and you didn't selected more than one.

So I guess the code of the Map Revealer is really unique.

Even I changed the Firegraft to the "Unselectable" option (I didn't mean it to work, but.....), and it doesn't work....

Of course, the #000000 stuff, doesn't mean that black is transparent. The palette is based in indexes, not in colors....so the transparent color is the index 0. But in my Starcraft (maybe it is malfunctioning or something...., never mind...), the transparent frames doesn't work.

@ ShadowFlare: The converter I use is: GRP Edit to view the GRP's, GRP Converter to convert units, weapons and colored stuff and the GRP Editor from the Stardraft plugin to make the wireframs. I've never used Retro GRP..... but i'm gonna try it soon.

As I was saying, it is the converter that decides what to make transparent. Which color or palette index it is has nothing to do with it. You only have to conform to what the converter uses.

lol, if you've been using another converter already, don't even try RetroGRP. It is a buggy program.

The unit is still selectable.....even by enemy players!!

What can i do? Apparently Map Revealer is very hard-coded.
