If we're going to bring those composers into the discussion as well, a few of the more prominent ones whose music is almost guaranteed to please:

David Wise
Grant Kirkhope
Koji Kondo
Nobuo Uematsu
Yasunori Mitsuda

Basically the only five names you REALLY need to know to have a lifetime's worth of awesome video game music at your fingertips.

On this note, Mathew Valente re-did a bunch of Chrono trigger music, and I'd really recommend it if you can find it. I have all of it, for some reason (I have the originals, too).

look to trackers they make some damn good music ^^ thats why im learning tracking, sadly i suck right now as ive been doing it for one half day...

edit: http://download.modplug.com/index.php?action=downloads&id=2086&license=0

link to some nice orchestral tracked stuff.

edit2: Check out erik mongrain, canadian guitarist he rocks, he has his own play style so it always sounds unique, it often sounds like there are multiple instruments at once :D
I like his cd 'fates' over what ive heard from his newer one equilibrium but its all good

Modules are pretty cool, but the most awesome tracker out there is most definitely FamiTracker, which emulates the NES 2a03 sound chip.

EDIT: HOLY SHIT IT SUPPORTS VRC6 NOW *downloads immediately*

ManCubuS -- I should try a workaround, thanks! Sadly imgur is blocked in my country for some unknown reason.

NudeRaider -- I think SEN has trouble with https or hotlinking is forbidden. It certainly is nothing about the size, it just fails to get any size. You can get it working if you use imgur and include the actual image link for the img tag. Like this: [img=https://i.imgur.com/ddYqXZa.jpeg]

ManCubuS -- Hey fellas! Anyone knows why when I try to upload an image it says "failed to get image size"? I even tried making it so small. Imgur isn't working here and I tried postimg no luck.
